SAMSys Announces Resignation of James "Tres" Wiley

CEO Cliff Horwitz to assume the additional role of President

TORONTO, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - SAMSys Technologies Inc. (SMY: TSX), an
international provider of Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) hardware
solutions and consulting services today announced the resignation of James
"Tres" Wiley, the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer.
Chairman and CEO Cliff Horwitz will assume the added responsibilities of
President, but will expand the company's senior management team in order to
address the future operational requirements of the Company's day-to-day
activities.
"The contribution which Tres has made over the more than two years he has
been involved with SAMSys has been significant; and will undoubtedly be
missed", said Cliff Horwitz, the Company's Chairman and CEO. "During that time
the Company has transitioned from a primarily "development stage" company to a
fully operational, product-driven organization. We extend both our gratitude
and our best wishes for his future endeavors; and hope sincerely that the
opportunity will exist for future collaboration."
He continued, "We now turn our attention to the future needs and
direction of the Company, and remain committed to the plan of execution
currently in place, in order to fully optimize the exciting opportunities
which lie ahead."
"It is with considerable regret that I leave SAMSys but my wife and I
have decided that it's now time we leave North Carolina and return to the West
to be closer to our families," added Wiley. "The SAMSys team is a strong one,
well positioned to take advantage of the growth in the supply chain market
segment, and I'm confident in their continuing success."
