Sorry, I skimmed over the post, and missed the "PPro" part.

Also, the WSJ is reporting that MSFT was only up 3/4 on instinet (at first, MSFT was up 2 3/8).

I think the drop is because (in the conference call) MSFT said that revenues for their fiscal 2nd quarter (the one ending in Dec) will be slightly below estimates due to the slower realization of Office 97 accounting.

Thus, they won't see the revenues this quarter, but later on. Either way, they will eventually recongnize it.

Another interesting point is that they called the NSCP ordeal a "brush fire," that has been put out. Now, they say the big battle will be MSFT vs. ORCL!!!
