Recently, Tim Seymour hedge fund manager and Fast Money regular on CNBC ran a performance screen on the performance of gold vs all the emerging markets from 2003 to the present and found that gold outperformed all the emerging markets with less volatility. It seems to me that the DJIA and S&P have been more volatile than gold lately.
