Yes, Northern Virginia has changed in political composition. That will be a major factor in the General Election. Will it be enough to carry Obama of the progressive, liberal left into national office??

A little opinion background on NV:

In Northern Virginia, the local politicians want to stay in power and have in recent history played both sides of the political fence------if they think Obama will win, they will be there bowing and switching party allegiance.

The political machinations are paper thin with the Democrats in Virginia.

United States Senator James Webb's election is the most recent example of playing both sides to get elected. Bill Clinton who was Webb's enemy for many years came into Virginia and endorsed Webb who had switched party alliances. Clinton brought in liberal votes that he controlled in Virginia for Webb----while Webb siphoned the vote of the liberal Republicans---Reagan Republicans did not go for Webb.

Democrats will and do play the race card in Virginia just as they did in James Webb's race against Former Governor George Allen ----Allen was set to defeat Webb until he used the "one word" that neither he nor anyone else knew the meaning of that was declared racist.

Allen was attacked on television by the progressive, liberal left of the Democrat Party as being racist.

Despite the attack-----numerous black ministers in Virginia came out in support of George Allen----why-----because they knew that George Allen is not a racist and was one of the best Governors Virginia had ever had.

Their loyalty to Allen was not enough to stem the damage done by the lies of the left. Allen lost by a slim margin. Allen did not ask for a recount.

There are many reasons that Pflouffe is targeting Virginia----i.e. the possibility of naming either the current Governor Kaine as VP or Senator James Webb----carpetbagger Mark Warner (Nextel) is running for U.S. Senate and will play on the similarity to retiring Senator John Warner's name (no relationship).

Pflouffe's strategy is transparent he wants to consolidate the Democrat Party's hold on Virginia and possibly gain the Presidency by having a white Virginia male run with Obama to give Obama's candidacy in Virginia credibility.

Regardless of whom is selected to be the VP Nominee for the Democrats it is obvious that the Democrats will attempt to make race an issue in Virginia. Why else is Pflouffe publicly announcing that they will be registering black voters?

This is such an insult to the intelligence of black voters that they will line up and hew the party line of the Democrat Party-----particularly the line that Obama is selling of no real national or international experience----Obama's line being one from the progressive, liberal left .

There is a strong case to be made for McCain carrying Virginia-------that I will leave for another time.
