It seems odd that Saudi Arabia would be more worried about Iranian nukes than Israel. There must be something I don't know about. I suppose it's the old Catholic vs Protestant thing. God can only be on one of their sides.

Definitely something like that. Remember the Iranian takeover of the Great Mosque of Mecca in 1979? The Saudis do.
