re: We have to do better when it comes to selecting American presidents. There is no excuse for this level of quality. One problem is that if you get a bald faced liar, running opposite his real opinions, with an exceptional marketing machine, there isn't a lot you can do. Hopefully the Bush era was a rare exception in US politics, and in the future we will get people vetted for having at least a minimum of integrity.
