Over the past twenty years or so it seems like "tolerance" has become the cardinal virtue that trumps all other virtues. Regardless of what other qualities a person possesses, if he is "intolerant" he is cast into the pool of very bad people. Personally tolerance has never been that important to me. I've always been more worried about getting mugged, robbed stabbed or shot than I have been about being exposed to intolerance.
