Corrupt is a good word to use but I fear it's worse than that. It's more like complete incompetence...... Interesting question - are our leaders incompetent, corrupt, or both. Sometimes I wonder - why are we so surprised that a sane and sound person like Sarah Palin may have decided to walk away? What makes us so convinced that lust for power must be necessarily the central ambition for someone like her? If that's what we think, maybe we don't deserve her? Maybe we deserve the current crop of bent nitwits we have as elected officials? After all, I don't recall seeing - in real life - even a single voter protesting against this persistent ongoing power grab.
