Nasdaq Volume: 1.426...Adv: 1359...Dec: 2702
Overall a bearish day for the techs especially the semis..
Volume was moderate.
Only a few greens. NTAP, CCMP, and new addition UDS.
ISIL - down 13.03% No news
BRCD down 11.24%. No news either
CSCO reported earnings that were a penny above expectation. Some allegation regarding not reporting acquisition expenses and counting acquisition revenue. Have to watch and see. Certainly not exciting news. Tough to say where it is going 3400 or 3800 Nasdaq. Probably the latter. Market sell orders at the open proved to be wise in hindsight as EMLX dipped lower. Studing the decepancies between Hoover's EPS and Briefing.coms. The latter is much hard and many techs don't show four straight quarters of increased EPS. Some surprised when I ran them.
JDSU, GLW, CMGI, SDLI, PMCS, AMAT, BRCM, SUNW, QCOM, ASIA, QLGC, TXN, MFNX, LVLT, XICO, INTC, LTWO, PROX, NSOL, AETH, ISSX, HAUP, TFS, CYTC, BIOM, MSFT, CSCO, FDRY, EMC, ELON, WCOM, DELL, WCII, TGNT, NXLK, GMST.
One that were positive four Q's in row:
TERN, FFIV, PWAV, RMBS although these may have had some EPS the same for two quarters.
Bought two oil companies as they have good dividends and excellent safety with crude over $25.
