Totally agree! As we've done our DD, we see that VLNC is the leader in the lithium battery field. If you believe in lithium, you "gotta believe in VLNC". It was true 3 years ago and it's true now. Think about it, back in 1994 when VLNC encountered commercialization problems with metal hydrid lithium tech, everyone thought it would set them back too far and the competition would win. Well, fast forward to 1997, and the competition is no where to be seen (fingers crossed on that one, you never know what's going on behind closed doors), and VLNC is back at the forefront. This time, the major production stumbling block has been solved (BellCore Labs' technology), and VLNC is fine tuning the process.
By the way, when I read back over the SEC reports, I noticed that during 1996, VLNC referred to increases in R&D spending as "moving toward production in Q197." Then, in their last 10Q (Dec 1996), they referenced spending increases to moving toward production in the 1st half of 1997. While I'm disappointed that Q1 came and went without production, I am VERY encouraged that management continues to state that increases in spending on R&D (and other admin stuff) relates to the first half of 1997, vs just 1997! We all know how conservative and tight lipped they are about "news". This is a BOLD statement for a conservative group to make unless they were CLOSE! We all know they're close.
The trading pattern of VLNC has been very pecurliar of late. Almost no volume on Tue and Wed, drifting price, then BAM, high volume and increase in price. No one big is selling. They're all sitting on a hoard of shares ready to ride this one of news of any kind. Which, in my opinion, is only days away.
Average up folks. It sure feels better than averaging down. I'll put in another limit on Monday to buy some more at $6. Probably won't get it but, just in case we get an intraday low, I'll take every 1/4 point that I can get right now. But, when it's in the 20s and 30s, a quarter back at 6 won't make much of a difference!
Good luck to all. I'll be lightening up a bit around here. I've got real work to do! Can't deal with getting home at 10:00 at night to make up for the hour I spend chating with you all during the day. Keep posting the good news! |
