Message from Doug:

Tomorrow, New Jerseyans have a historic opportunity to choose between the failed
policies of the past and new leadership for the 21st Century.

Given the higher taxes, weaker defenses, more tax dollars sent to other states,
and less Superfund sites cleaned up under the Torricelli-Lautenberg Machine’s 20
years in office, New Jerseyans will overwhelmingly vote for change and propel our campaign and our state to victory tomorrow night.

And on Wednesday morning, we will have pulled off something that has never been
done before; we will have beaten not one, but two Senators in one election
cycle.

But none of this has been possible without your steadfast support throughout our
campaign. Thank you for supporting our positive message of raising hope and
opportunity for our great state instead of taxes. Thank you for supporting our
effort to restore honor and dignity to our public office.

As we come to the final leg of this campaign, I have just one last request of
each and every one of you, and that is that you turn out tomorrow to vote and
urge all of your friends and family to do the same.

THE STAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER. At a time when rogue nations like Iraq and
North Korea are closing in on nuclear weapons and terrorists threaten to strike
again, my opponent Frank Lautenberg STILL thinks it was a good idea to oppose the Gulf War in 1991 (http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77966_13189226 to stop Saddam
Hussein’s aggression. He STILL thinks it was a good idea to vote repeatedly to
slash defense and intelligence gathering budgets. He STILL thinks it was a good
idea to vote against a missile defense, leaving our families and allies, such as
Israel, vulnerable today (http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77967_13189226 He STILL
thinks it was a good idea to vote against the death penalty for terrorists who
murder Americans(http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77968_13189226

And you know what? If elected again, Frank Lautenberg wouldn’t change a vote on
national defense. And he would CONTINUE to hike the tax on Social Security
benefits that HE CREATED (http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77969_13189226 he would
beat his previous record $208 BILLION raid on our seniors’ Trust Fund to pay for
other spending, he would oppose President Bush’s tax cut and raise taxes on the
average New Jersey family by $4,400, he would continue to vote for the Marriage Penalty and the Death Tax, and he would continue to delay cleaning up toxic
waste sites because he is more interested in helping his powerful trial lawyer
special interests than he is in helping the people
(http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77970_13189226 About the only thing he won’t do is
let New Jersey keep sliding on the federal funds we get back from Washington
(http://t.lt0.net/c.asp?ltk=77971_13189226 because he CAN’T – New Jersey is
already last.

It’s time to put a stop to the Torricelli-Lautenberg Machine’s out-of-touch,
failed policies of the past twenty years, and YOU will make the difference:
