Greg, IF the "elect" are the only ones that are to be saved, why did Jesus die on the cross? Do you think that you are one of the "elect", and what makes you think that? Did God tell you that you were of the "elect", or say anywhere, that anyone was "elected" and more qualified to enter His Kingdom, than anyone else??
It makes me wonder if those that consider themselves of the "elect", without any proof, or confirmation, from God, think that they are better Christians than any Christian that believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord, and Savior. If this is the case, it smacks of an attitude that is most frequently seen among the ranks of social snobs. ~H~ |
