Good evening Mr. S&P,

<<Perhaps Grayhairs can shed a little technical expertise on why their abandoned well was "too pressurized".>>

Sure wish I could help you out here S&P but I have NEVER before heard of a well (that was capable of commercial production) being abandoned because the zone was "too pressurized".

I have personally abandoned many high pressured reservoirs but only after either a DST or production test through casing "confirmed" a limited reserve. As you very well know, highly over pressured reservoirs are often, but not always, limited in areal extent (and hence they often contain very limited and non-commercial reserves).

Questions:

When was the TRIL well drilled ??

If drilled after the Bellevue #1 blowout, I personally wouldn't touch the play in the absence of a solid technical explanation as to why the zone was "too pressurized to harness" as that would be a first time ever seen for me.

If the well was drilled before Bellevue #1, it is possible that TRIL knew the zone was highly over pressured (Eg. on the basis of a strong gas kick) and so they simply "assumed" that it had to be limited in areal extent (and therefore non-commercial). That is, perhaps no DST was performed due to the very high risks of running same on a very deep and highly over pressured zone and perhaps the cost of casing their well to test through pipe was just too prohibitive for them for a "long shot" over pressured zone. Maybe they just walked from what they thought at the time to be an "areally limited and over pressured reservoir" but now they may be questioning that "walk" given the ELH performance. The bottom line is that I am able to speculate a scenario and an explanation as to why they may have previously walked from the zone, but before I'd ever touch their stock I'd need a forthright and solid explanation as to what they really mean by "too pressurized to harness" cause that description alone smells real bad !!!

BTW, I fail to see the import of the Haliburton alliance with TRIL. Haliburton is a service company. They provide\sell their expertise to all of their clients, not just to TRIL. So, what's the big deal ?? Are Haliburton putting risk $$ into the drilling and completion of the next well ?? Or, are Haliburton providing completion and stimulation services at no cost to TRIL in exchange for some interest in the play ?? If not, then the TRIL "alliance" with Haliburton means absolutely squat (to me anyway). JMHOBWDIK.

Have a very pleasant evening.

Later,
grayhairs
