I may have read the response chain incorrectly. It looked like, first, Matt suggested enlarging submit buttons (which could be handled better, differently, if trying to combat interface clutter). It ended where Matt suggested re-marking top proximity level to deal with bottom proximity level. You said you were toying with it, but declined. Didn't see any discussion about "Edit vs. Submit" in that chain. Perhaps I just read the chain incorrectly.

But ... the good thing is that none of that really matters. <g> The proposal of a generic reply, allowing the user to make distinction only where needed, is a more efficient approach, both for interface de-cluttering and improved batch mode (as rkral suggested) functionality.
