Kerry never worked with Fonda. They hardly knew each other.
Kerry left the VVAW because they were too radical. The leader of the VVAW then states that Kerry was more conservative than the rest of them and wanted to work inside the system, not just protest.

Kerry condemned Fonda's trip to Hanoi which took place two years later. The rightwing has falsified photos trying to link Fonda and Kerry, but that dog don't hunt. John McCain was angry at Kerry many years later for his perceived angry anti-war stance but when they discusssed it McCain realized Kerry was right, very thoughtful, quite moderate and they became fast trusted friends. Nice to see dem and Repub vets find common ground about such an emotional subject. Together, Kerry and McCain did vetreans proud. manwhile, GW cuts vet benefits and was going AWOL in Alabama while Kerry was fighting to try and end that insane war.
