talksfree- Re India & Reliance- Tata to provide CDMA in 5 circles including New Deli Reliance to provide a nationwide CDMA network to 673 cities covering 65% POP. Started signing up subs Jan 15 with Samsung and LG supplying handsets. Qualcomm upped their handset forecast for India by 1M (China by 4M)while still being on the conservative side versus the operators estimates. Qualcomm stated that Reliance "could grow its subs quickly" and was building handset inventory. Qualcomm is now estimating 7m handsets for the CY in India, and 15M (was 11M) for China. The 15M for China includes some for replacements/ upgrades (my guess MSM6300 equipped)
