KH: Conservative means let me have my money so I can spend the way I want to. My $ is not the government's money and if that is your sentiment you are definitely to the left. The government can balance the budget in yet another way - reduce spending which the Repubs. are also for. As for Regan and Bush they were the fall guys for a high spending Democratic Congress. When will people figure out that it is the legislature that controls spending not the Executive. The Pres. gets too veto or sign and that is it. It is laughable how the Repubs have let Clinton take the credit for a balanced budget. JFD
