I find the playing field a little more fair in Canada. All the bids/asks are on the board (except special orders) and there are no MM's to screw with your market/stop orders. There are less stocks to choose, there isn't as much volume and the commissions are higher but at least when you have a stop loss / stop buy hit on a fast moving stock you know where you are going to get filled. I have played the NASDAQ and find it difficult to play without a ECN connection. If I had a day trading firm in Winnipeg that offered a direct connection I might think differently about trading them.

Best Regards
KEITH
