So if I understand the controversy correctly, the true embarrassing info on whatever birth certificate the officials say they have may be this: no hospital name. Because if the birth certificate is one of the family statement types, it would only increase the rumors of foreign birth. Hawaii seems to have pretty much accepted birth declarations on the honor system.

But it's very strange to have officials stating that they have seen a document that has not been made public.
