Fed's Guynn - no cause for undue inflation concern
JACKSON, Miss., July 23 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Jack Guynn said on Monday he did not see any red flags on U.S. inflation in the near term.

``I don't see anything at the moment to cause me to be unduly concerned,'' Guynn told reporters after speaking at a local Rotary Club.

Guynn also said he thinks the U.S. economy likely grew at a similar pace in the second quarter as it did in the first when it logged a 1.2 percent growth rate. He said his sense is that the economy is ``still growing very slowly.''

The Atlanta Fed chief also said that consumer spending has stayed at ``respectable levels'' and is likely reaching ``the kind of rate that is closer to sustainable'' without creating inflation pressures.
