The audacity of the local taxing authority thinking they could raise home values in an economy like this is arrogant and conceited, and it is really good to see the traditional democrat from a place like NJ finally getting it. Liberals think they can solve all of the world's problems, and must therefore tax people to death to pay for it. Do they not realize there actually is a breaking point? Certainly they must understand there will be a huge backlash when they go too far and people start losing their homes? Having spent quite a bit of time there, and getting to know the people, I believe those who live in eastern metropolitan areas think they are at the center of the Universe, and their leaders believe there will always be another sucker willing to replace the poor schmuck they displace. They will take chances and raise taxes, and it seems, do anything, including taking advantage of the very people who hired them, to achieve power. Imo, anyone with the ability to access the vast amount of information today and still believe Liberals actually care about them.......well........that person is patently delusional.
