Thanx-- So, LU pays 6.15 M$ for each Ortel employee ??
Pretty expensive, but then again, it get LU into the OC-192
game. ORTL claims to have a large telecommunications company as one of its customers--LU ?? Looks like LU needs
em.

***from S&P 500 research profile***
The company has relatively recently begun to develop digital optoelectronic devices and subsystems. A product in this category is Ortel's OC-192 receiver module, which can be used in both TDM (time division multiplexing) and WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) applications. In June 1999, the company announced that a major telecommunications equipment provider awarded Ortel a contract to purchase its Model 2860 10 Gbps receivers.
