You're right; she so far has no Town Hall meetings scheduled. I just called too....Patty Murray Seattle 206-553-5545--I gave the intern my name, phone, address, and she talked about small meetings in Murray's office. I said NO, I wanted to see large public meetings (plural in MANY places) on Health Care, with a Q&A session that wasn't pre planned, pre assigned and choreographed. I said that this is a Government attempt to takeover our entire lives....and much too important to rush through in a few weeks. Said that IMO, O's ratings would go up 10-20% or more if they totally scrapped all the effort so far, and had Town Hall meetings ALL OVER THE COUNTRY to discuss what people would like to see. It isn't about Care. It is about Cost. The new plans so far are dictatorial; mandate the choice, the care, and the cost. There is no choice under any plan we've seen. It is corrosive. And then the GALL to penalize people by having the IRS fine them, AND THEN DICTATE WHAT PROGRAM THEY WOULD BE ON who don't agree with their mandate is simply a total assault on freedom, choice and the American Way.
