Dave: Please Take Your Shirk Off.....

>>"It's fair to say that until now, we haven't made enough noise in the application service provider space and we haven't invested enough, soon enough,
in these new areas," Shirk said.>>

Dave:

Enough noise??

Fair to say??

What should be invested?

Just money?

How about a simple, well thought out strategy which concentrates less on making noise and more on making the technology come alive, stand up on the chair and sing in ways that emphasize education, training, solutions and SERVICE.

Forget about SELLING.

Make Novell's ONE Net vision, energy and resources into a 24 X 7 entrepreneurial partner in every company's future.

This can start with ONE thing: a rock solid, fundamental core BELIEF that Novell has the energy, attitude, resources and knowledge which can go to support this ONE Net Vision.

Novell's marketing and sales problems all begin and end with ONE thing: MINDSET.

Steve Adams and his side-kick, Dave Shirk, need to thumb their noses at Novell's convervatism, take their shirts off and stand on their chairs.

Roll your eyes everyone, but if I don't see them do this I'd be happy to be the laughingstock which breaks the ice behind this ONE Vision.

I'm tired of NOT "seeing and feeling" the transformation.

I'm tire of the defensiveness.

I'm tired of the roping and doping.

If energy, spirit, belief and fire don't start entering into this picture soon, you can bet that Microsoft and the greater LINUX community stands ready to eat Novell's breakfast, lunch and dinner for the forseeable future.

Peace.

GO!!
