I really don't know how IOM can survive in the long run. Disk Drives are getting cheaper and cheaper I saw a 5.2mb drive in the Sunday paper for $199.

agreed.

Like all good high tech's, they need a steady stream of new products or they die. I didn't see this for them so never bought.

HWP, Intel, MSFT, AMAT, even UTEK , new products are what the companies are all about.

Compaq bought DEC to get out of "just making PCs" and thus go after higher margin business.

HP is working on Digital cameras, set-top-boxes, networks, new opto semiconductors (my job),etc. etc. and managers get sent to competitors if they don't think new products are the life blood of the company.

We all know how Intel and Msft roll out new products that offer more for less or the same price.

Utek has two product lines to try and balance busines cycles, they are both just at a bottom now hence the crummy price.

Iomega has ????
