Just imagine what's going to happen with Katrina. We are not only in the first inning... there are "no outs" at this point. This disaster goes on and on and on... years.

Will anybody even want to rebuild in the "toxic soup" areas of NOLA (I certainly wouldn't)? Do they have to rebuild to get the insurance claim?

With the exception of the non-flooded areas, I think NOLA is gone, dead. Make it an extension of the lake... a recreation area? Who is going to want to go back?
