Ascend Communications had a pretty good earnings report last
time; as opposed to 3COM, of which I was unfortunate enough to
be a shareholder. Even with the solid earnings, this is still a
rough ride.

What's going on? Is the volatility related to the expiration of
options? I'd appreciate your opinions.
