Bob Brogan (3 Oct.2000):

NDX
We are recording positive momentum/internal strength
divergence at the Zero line.
We tagged the lower bollinger band last night and
see a positive reversal near term.
But the upside (explosive rally) that I have been looking
for may only carry to the NDX:3923 (upper bollinger band)
Because the SOX (BIG component of NDX)looks like it can only
rally to its upper 150/200 day m.a. @ 1006 and fail
While that's +19% That is ALL the SOX can muster before a big
decline in this index follows.
Also, time is very short and creeping up on us because I NOW
have a bells & whistle "sell" on the UTY and that says the broad market is on a
very short teather before a double digit decline.
The U.S.Dollar wants to rally but likely to form "M" top in price as well as
momentum, then enter a 10 month bear market.
My buys are struggling but holding supports.
Still can't find Shorts (all short candidates are down showing momentum
reversal hooks).
Need reflex rally with momentum reversals to lay out shorts.
Market likely to "light up" in the unlikely event that Bush can
pull out a win in tonight's debate.
Feds are pumping and the Tres. is in there buying like there is no tomorrow.
Aint this a great profession?
