Alan,

I believe that Dave Ferran had a very attractive severance arrangement with Millipore written into the takeover agreement.

I would expect that he also has a very rewarding employment contract with SUBM.

This might help make him happy to be handed a turnaround.

I believe he also has some specific skills, background and experience in terms of international relationships that will help SUBM sell that part of their product line which truly is leading edge.

I did a little looking into SUBM after receiving an email from a former employee. I decided that while a turnaround may actually happen, I wasn't ready to take the risk.
