Robert, Cisco and Ascend are both very good companies. Cisco is dominating the industry from a corporate Fortune 1000 standpoint, Ascend/Cascade is dominating the industry from an ISP/Carrier standpoint. Both are very good positions to be in. Ascend is on the verge in my opinion of winning significant victories in the router market ( not in corporate America, but with the service providers ). As DLJ said on Friday when they upgraded Cisco, Cisco is dominating the high end switching business in corporate America. Cisco is now entering a strong product cycle with the CAT 5500. I own more ASND than CSCO. I see more upside on ASND. I believe ASND will see $70 in 45 days. ASND has a huge lead in technology in two areas at this point in time versus their competition. I do not believe that a coparison between Intel/AMD and CSCO/ASND is acurate. I believ a more accurate comparison would be between DELL/COMPAQ. This is one mans opinion, Intel / Microsoft are in a league by themselves. CSCO is a great company, and has executed on their plan wonderfully, but they are not with the big two.
