Very early Wednesday morning message from Blue:

This is definitely not the news I want to deliver, or you want to hear. But radical transparency and realistic expectations are the only way forward and the only way through. Recovery will require several more days. We are shooting for another Sunday relaunch. For what it's worth, we felt good about our response when we re-opened this past Sunday, otherwise we would not have done so. It's embarrassing to admit how wrong we were. We obviously missed something somewhere, so we've got more tweaking and testing to do. Please accept our apologies for the misstep. And remember: The reason a hacker shouldn't pick a fight with a website that has nothing to lose is because we're the ones with everything to lose! ************************************ Finally, I will leave you with this. I can only push my small team so far. My lead technician has gone above and beyond the call of duty - I mean, he does this for me in his spare time for crying out loud! It's damn near impossible to find the kind of loyalty he and my web developer, Wendi, have exhibited over the years - always there in a pinch, without complaint. Yeah, we've been kicked in the teeth. But I will put my small team up against giants like Facebook any day of the year. As most of you know, we are a true mom-and-pop shop. We operate on a shoestring. To put things in perspective, consider this: In 2019, when Facebook suffered its worse outage ever, they had almost 45,000 employees and over $70 billion in revenue to throw at their problem - and yet it still took them over 24 hours to restore service! We're obviously no Facebook...What makes me sick about the cyber assault on IV is the personal price it is extracting from my team. As my lead technician put it in a heart-to-heart email to me: I am also limited in time, I missed my anniversary dinner and date night the first time, my sons baseball game over the weekend and his game last night. I mean, seriously folks, what more can I ask for? This is already too much, and much more than I deserve. If only I could get my hands on these cyber criminals....
