MAY 25, 2000, M2 Communications - Novell Inc has introduced Internet Messaging System 2.5, the latest version of its hosted messaging service. Built on Novell's NDS eDirectory directory service the new system is designed to help service providers offer fast and reliable hosted e-mail accounts to partners, vendors and customers. Version 2.5 supports the NetWare, Linux and Solaris operating systems with an ability to install the messaging service on any or all of the supported platforms. Other enhancements include support for server-side messaging rules to simplify the handling of e-mail messages regardless of the client that is used and a list server capable of accommodating millions of subscribers. Novell Internet Messaging System 2.5 will be available after 15 June priced at USD20/user.
