S&P cuts AMD debt ratings biz.yahoo.com This came out after the close Thursday, so Monday we will all see how an S&P downgrade affects a stock. Note that S&P placed AMD on "Credit Watch" on March 5 according to the article, and officially downgraded their debt within a few days of a Q report. S&P put MU on Credit Watch on March 18 but MU's next Q report is not until mid-June. Dunno if S&P downgrades without a "trigger" such as an earnings report or warning to make it official. We all know that MU considers "earnings warnings" a cop-out used by fly-by-night companies such as INTC, IBM, et al . Perhaps some news that DRAM prices are not firming up at all mid-way through MU's quarter (mid-way = April 15) might provoke an S&P move one way or another.
