The current Forbes includes an article about Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, age 41, who in 1991, according to Forbes injected $590 million and took new convertible preferred stock. "Now 41 million shares, that investment, 9.1% of the Citi's capitalization, is worth $5.8 billion."

Of course, that article was written before the TRV/CCI merger announcement.

Other investments bring the Prince's portfolio to a total of $12.7 billion, according to Forbes. April 20, 1998, p. 58.
