The crossing of the 15-day EMA and the 30-EMA is a very good indicator of a trend change, for MU at least. By the time they cross, the trend has already reversed, sometimes significantly, but it still catches a lot of the move. Note that sometimes the big move itself causes the cross, so using 15/30 doesn't catch giant 1-day reversals that change the trend.

Entering a trade when the EMA's are starting to converge after MU has broken significantly away from the 15-day EMA, for higher profits, is left as an exercise for the reader.

Note that as of this 10/29 graph, we are even more extended than we were back on the similar Goldman-inspired run back from Dec 1997 to Feb 5, 1998.
