NVS was up $1.10 to $42.75 in AH. The story made the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. Not only did they mention the good results they've gotten with Gleevec on leukemia patients, they also talked with a man who has a type of intestinal tract cancer (can't remember the specifics), and his tumor has shrunk rapidly. He says he's feeling great. The drug will be available as early as next week. This will be the subject of much press in the near future. There are relatively few side effects from the drug, and it's an easy-to-take capsule. cbsnews.com This story isn't new, but with FDA approval, the stock will probably respond now, where it hasn't much in the past.
