Welcome On-Board The "Centura-Is-Turning-Around" Bandwagon:

In its October 1996 issue DBMS Client/Server Connection jumped on the growing
"Centura-Is-Turning-Around" bandwagon when Clara Parkes stated in her article
that Centura Software is "rising from the ashes of what one could only call a bad
year, following a class-action suit by its shareholders, multimillion dollar revenue
losses, a reduction of its staff by 16 percent, the appointment of a new president
and CEO, and - last but not least - a corporate name change".

Clara unfortunately forgot to mention the confusing ticker symbol changes from
GPTA to GPTAE, then back to GPTA, and then again to CNTR. But let us all
welcome her on-board anyway!

In all fairness to the spirit of Clara's article, in it she also pointed out that Arbor
Software is faring "much better" than Centura and has posted a "dizzying" 94
percent revenue growth for its first quarter ending June 30, 1996.

Maybe we all should *also* look into that company!
