PE's only have meaning imho within their subsectors. In the O&G sector the PE and cash flows are somewhat more uniform (at least relative to tech) so I didn't make as much of an issue about it on the old SD thread.

Lumping all the techs together and comparing PE's, growth rates etc isn't very useful in tech.

The Majors had some of the best PE's all year in O&G but went nowhere. I find it very useful to track sub-sectors.

And yes I do have a somewhat devious sense of humor. I loved Fight Club, Pulp Fiction and Swimming with the Sharks as comedies.
