Yep, you open the box and stick it in a slot. I believe all currently active Windoze systems will recognize the new NIC on reboot. Get a quality NIC like 3COM for example. They are cheap so get good ones. If you have XP on any machine, check with MSFT compatibility before buying the NICs.
