I agree -- IMO they are the best of a bad lot. They did make some hard decisions -- the GST comes to mind. Yes it's detested, because it's always in your face. Like income tax shouldn't be detested too? But income tax is not as visible. Of course what I detest the most is how they all piss my tax dollars away, but that's a rant for another time.

And of course Mulroney deserves full credit for free trade. That was a historic leap for him to make.
