I think there's a good chance the next product refresh will be the FPDs. Just a hunch, mostly because they're rebating up to $500 on them until March 31. But also, the new top tier Pro-sumer G4s are pre-configured to handle TWO FPDs right out of the box. It follows that Apple is planning something to leverage that into more sales.

Anyone think we'll see a double framed unit, say two 17" or perhaps two 19", with a very appealing thin line of separation? It would be pricey, but the company is going for drool factors in a big way this year!

And while I'm gazing into the crystal, why not put that Airport basestation unit into the base of an iMac look-alike FPD for Pro-sumer models and get even more mileage out of the table lamp theme?

Hmmm? You said, "yeah, right!" did you?

Oh, but the extra costs, pared down now by years of production, would fit snugly into the margins of these fat cat desk decorations. And, don't forget how good it would be for Apple's sales of those Airport add on cards when every new Pro-sumer Mac is already a wireless hub, gateway, wonder-world for the digital elite. Streaming movies, pictures and sounds from the office to any entertainment center in the home would make the eye-candy nutritionally sound as well. I can see them third party peripheral add-ons popping up like Wack-A-Mole puppets at a rubber hammer convention.
