OMB,

By saying what you believe is "truth for you"---what a Buddist believes is "truth for them"---what a Hindu believes is "truth for them"---am I right Mark?
If I am right on that assertion, I would conclude that that leads you to: "As long as I am sincere, it really doesn't matter what you believe." What do you think?

Sometimes truth is in the eye of the beholder.

Let me give you a poor example:-)

There are three men. All three men are robbed of their weekly paycheck on the way home. all three men have one dollar left which they use play lotto before the get home.
All three men win a small prize which is less than the paycheck the were robbed of, but enough topay their bills until their next check.

The first man goes home and tell his wife of his rotten luck at getting robbed and laments his poor luck. He feels that winning the lotto was a very poor way to make up for his loss and he feels that he has been "hosed" by the whole experience.

The second man goes home and is just plain confused. He doesn't know how to interpret the events of the day and just feels that he will never understand the meaning of lives events and it is just better to go on with his life without thinking too much about it.

The third man, is ecstatic. He can't believe his good fortune at winning enough money to cover his bills. He thinks that the whole series of events have a been blessing and a life lesson on the inherent goodness in nature and life in general.

All three men have a different truth. Not one of them is necesarily wrong. I can only do those things that make sense to me, that I truly believe are right. If I acted in a way that I trly didn't think was right, how could that be pleasing to anyone, let alone God?

If Love is not the path to God, then I truly believe that maybe I need to walk a different path.

Mark
