I believe that the current interface bandwidth is maxed out for the apple 22" display ...

if apple plans on making a bigger display, improving the resolution of the existing one or both it will need a way of increasing this bandwidth.

If a new high bandwidth display interface is not feasible at this time an interim solution would be to make a display which uses two ports ... this would maintain compatibility with existing hardware and put out a display which no one else has ...

Perhaps, just to make up something, a 26" 2400 x 1806 Cinema super display
