EP, I agree that China doesn't have a monopoly on government idiots. It's almost a requirement for the job. I have had dealings with governments in several countries and it's like a DNA trait.

I was in Britain during Chernobyl and Mad Cow Disease and other things and they are hopeless too.

Oh yes, in the UK in 1986, they finally discovered AIDS, about 3 years too late. Another example. Then, they advertized that you could get it from anyone, which was obviously untrue. They had a good looking female, suggesting guys could get it from her.

Of course, it was homosexuals, drug addicts [sharing needles], blood transfusion patients and others who got others' blood or semen in their body for some reason. Women are vulnerable to infected men, but not the reverse, unless the male has skin lesions allowing infection.

But I wouldn't invest in the UK either! I'm okay with investing in China via QUALCOMM. 9% growth in a huge market is good stuff.
