My dad has been in the computer BIZ forever..he was a programmer and a systems analyst for decades. I remember when he worked for "BELL", pre-breakup, he would take us downtown on occasion and we'd get to go "inside" the mainframe...it was huge...huge tapes on reels and I/O cards and all this stuff clicking and moving..the computer took up a gigantic portion of one floor.

2 things come to mind:

1)how can this Dell Inspiron laptop possibly be more powerful than that huge monster?

and

2)why hasn't my dad ever learned to program his VCR? (lord knows I've instructed him enough times)<g>

that is a neat web page...obviously a labor of love
