The Malaysia well: this time it's considered appraisal drilling rather than exploration, is that why they are playing it down (or at least some of their partners)? The question is more of how many hundred billion cubic feet of high quality gas they can prove, rather than if they'll find gas/oil or not. If they can find a rig they intend to continue drilling later this year, otherwise they have to wait until February (as originally scheduled). We can look forward to at least 5 exploration wells.

As to the economic crisis in Malaysia, it has no influence on IPC's and Sands oil production or phase 2 development plans. At least no negative influence, the cheap ringgit (the Malaysian currency) is favourable, and since electricity and gas competes, continued crisis might lead to increased demand for cheap gas.

Lack of info on Sands is definitely no problem in Sweden, but obviously in North America. But this will change soon. Did I mention that Sands Web site opens within a few weeks, maybe as soon as next week? After the marriage to IPC this site will become Lundin Oil's in December. One Swedish AND one English version. Look for www.sandsp.se in October.
