Jim: AOL in its history had many similar pattern of movements. It'd open gapped up after a minor down day and not willing to give in all morning. Volume started at 200-500K in the first half hour or 45 min. then you got it that something was fishy. And then at 10:13 this Goldman's large block came in. When it refused to give in to below 48, I felt that it had to come this far. It had the sign yesterday already. Your reminder today is much appreciated.

However, if the shorts stay put, the upside will dry up soon.
There are many ocassions in which the next morning would gap down a few dollars, and that would defintely be a sign for sell. For AOL, anything is possible. Cowen is out, H&Q is out, now, Alex Brown will be out again to initiate coverage ( they have been covering it all they time.)
They are now hyping about next week's meeting (I wonder what'd be the main dish) at its headquarter. This guys know how to play the intimidating game. And it worked all the time!

Point is that here comes the opportunity. Might as well take it!

This will never end.
Long Live AOL!

PS: Thx for the long posting, I will need some time to digest them.
A few of them I have looked before but will have to do some more checking.
