RE: Mitsumi

TOKYO, Oct 15 (Reuters) - The following are stocks on the move:

0529 GMT - Mitsumi Electric Co Ltd (6767.T) fell 330 yen to 2,390, becoming the third largest percentage loser on the first section of the TSE.

Some traders said that its shares were being sold due to concern that the company might cut in its earnings forecast.

Other traders said that Mitsumi is developing a product similar to one that Sony Corp (6758.T) and Fuji Photo Film Co Ltd (4901.T) revealed on Tuesday. Sony and Fuji Photo said that they had jointly developed a next-generation 3.5-inch floppy disc system with very large storage capacity.

==========

Does anyone know further details about Mitsumi's efforts? Apparently they have been slow in getting their product out.
