Nascar is trying very hard to change it's white image- and good luck to them. But it's quite obvious the author was just "reporting" the state of the sport now. To blame him for reporting that, is to blame the messenger. To market to Nascar is a bit more suspect than merely reporting on it, imo, of course. But we all market to our areas of strength, even those areas of strength defined by racial demographics- and I'm guessing Sharpton would NOT have wasted any money marketing to NASCAR folks...
