I think the graph does work if you count government owner corporations, and all benefits, but the only evidence I have is the data sources the blogger used (and I'd have to work to get them rather than lazily relying on his presentation of them :)

You may no a forlift driver who worked for GM who made over $100 grand, but I bet you interacted with more near-minumum wage food service or retail people, than $100k+ fork lift operators.

Leaving aside the specific numbers it is clear the federal employees do make more than those in the private sector, and that in recent years this gap has increased.

Note this is NOT adjusted for the type of job, federal employees typically don't ask "do you want fries with that?".
